Leadership

Praises!

  • Praise God! The  Newsletter was mailed today.
  • The remodeling work on the first space is coming along and we have set a move-in date of February 11th.
  • I thank the Lord for the wonderfully willing attitude of the different contractors who have offered their services to help in the remodeling project. I've been blown away by their positive responses.
  • The staff continue to recover and heal from their surgeries - praising God daily for this.
  • Love INC will be represented on Feb. 6th at the State Capitol and God has opened the door for me to meet with several different elected officials. Pray for these meetings.
  • Lloyd returned safely home from the National Board meeting and he said much progress was made for the Love INC movement.

Requests:

  • Pray for the National Love INC movement leadership and direction.
  • Pray for the remodeling project. Continue to pray that God blesses us with donations of product that we need to complete it.
  • Pray for all the staff as they either recover from surgery or cover for those who are recuperating. May the Lord be our strength and shield.
  • Hilary has not heard if she's approved for her meds, continue to pray she gets approved.
  • I am attending a conference Thursday and Friday and will be on one of the panels and presenting in one of the break-out sessions, may it be good exposure for Love INC.
  • Pray for the meetings at the Capitol on Monday 6th.

Clearinghouse

Praises!

  • Praise God Nancy is back in the Clearinghouse and doing well.
  • Praise God we are getting more people to the Thursday night orientation.

Requests:

  • Pray for a Monday Intake volunteer.
  • Pray for all the volunteers who are traveling and for their safe return.

New Hope Program and Community Courses

youth

Praises!

  • Praise God we're training New Hope graduates to teach orientation.
  • Praise God we have 2 new Parenting class teachers, Les & Virginia.
  • Praise God we are ready to match 3 families with budget counselors.
  • Praise God Lifeline Pregnancy Center will host our Parenting class.
  • Praise God we have identified more admin volunteers.

Requests:

  • Pray for families with vehicle problems, especially a single mom who desperately needs a new car.
  • Pray for a meeting with our budget teachers to update our Financial class.
  • Pray for new Birthday-in-a-Box donors for the New Hope children.
  • Pray for all the clients and participants, some of them have very huge and tragic stories.
  • We've opened up our Community Course Classes to the general public. May we have a good turnout and may God provide all we need.

 

The Grace Place and Donation Center/Warehouse

Praises!

  • Praise God January was a wonderful month for The Grace Place sales and shoppers.
  • Praise God we have new volunteers on the clothing merchandise team.

Requests:

  • Pray for groups to help on Saturday 11th to move into our new warehouse space, including moving the pantry.
  • Pray for more volunteers to receive donations in the Donation Center.
  • Pray for product donations of all types. We are still down!

 

Churches

Praises!

  • Praise God we have presented February Love Month to 30 CMCs who will be promoting the Love INC ministry in their churches this month.
  • The church of the week is The Rock Christian Missionary Alliance and Pastor David Underwood. Pray for their ministries and outreaches.

Requests:

  • Pray for the new handbook that I want to write to help churches better understand how to help people in need.
  • Pray for us as we set up a schedule for church and volunteer Defining Difference trainings over the coming month.
  • Pray that the churches set up a Sunday to highlight Love INC and do a talent tithe search.
  • I meet with an administrator from Eagle Christian Church on Tuesday, more the Lord bless and grow this partnership.

Finances

Praises!

  • Praise God for His financial provision!
  • The preliminary budget has been set, may God grant us favor in 2012.
  • Praise God the Selah e-book is now available on Amazon.

Requests:

  • Pray for new donors to join us this year to allow us to grow the ministry.
  • Pray for a reduced price promotion of the Selah devotional in The Grace Place through the month of February.
  • Pray that churches write us into their budgets and offer monthly support.
  • Pray for abundant viewers, purchasers and good reviews on Selah e-book.
  • We were really down on our financial donations in January, may we receive an abundance of money in February.

Gap Ministries

  • Praise God Lesa was able to visit the Heaven's Household Gap Ministry.
  • Praise God we have two new subs for our weekly furniture teams.
  • Lesa is thankful Nancy is back!

Requests:

  • Pray for donations of fleece tied blankets for the Foster Kit program.
  • Pray for volunteers for our Threads of Joy Children's Clothing Closet.
  • Pray for donations of new underwear for children, teens and adults.
  • Pray for donations of gently-used bras.
  • We have a luncheon Thursday with all the Threads of Joy volunteers - may it be a great time of sharing and taking this gap to the next level.
