Requests:

  • Pray for the National Board conference call on Wednesday Nov. 16th at 3:00.
  • Pray for Lois as she works with 12 lead affiliates and clarifies their role in the overall movement
  • Pray for the new space addition. How we should use it, the remodeling and cleaning that needs done, etc.
  • Pray as Craig E. and I work together to define roles and responsibilities within our organization
  • Pray for our local board meeting Nov. 21st.
  • Pray I have time to conduct staff reviews next month.

Clearinghouse

Praises!

  • Praise God our Gap volunteers are getting a taste of the Clearinghouse and how it operates.

Requests:

  • Pray for the high volume of financial requests we are receiving and wisdom on how to help people.
  • Pray for people to sign up for our Community Courses as we add more classes.
  • Pray for an Intake volunteer on Mondays and Hispanic speakers.

New Hope Program and Community Courses

Praises!

  • Praise God for the 11 families who attended the orientation for the Community Courses/New Hope.
  • Praise God for the fireman who did a presentation at our Children's Program - the kids loved it!
  • We are thankful for our Job Training teachers: Jane, Kevin and Rick.
  • Lois was able to interview 4 clients in readiness for a counselor match.
  • We had a great meeting with Kay, Families Etc Director, for future classes.

Requests:

  • Pray for all of our counselors and clients as we enter the busy holidays.
  • Pray for wisdom for our team as we discuss big program changes for 2012.
  • Pray for wisdom for Renee as she works on the Parenting Class curriculum.
  • Pray for more Gem Guides and Stations Leads in our Children's Program.
  • Pray for a food runner for Thursday night.
  • Pray for budget counselors for our January training.

The Grace Place and Donation Center

Praises!

  • Praise God for the unbelievably successful Christmas opening week. Thanks to all who shopped, served and prayed.

Requests:

  • Pray for a monthly Friday cashier.
  • Pray for a Monday prep volunteer.
  • Pray for lots of shoppers on Senior Wednesday, 16th November, 8:30am-10:00am.
  • Pray for more volunteers to work in the Donation Center and Warehouse.

Churches

Praises!

  • Praise God for Kirkpatrick Presbyterian who came for a tour as they consider partnership with us.
  • Praise God for the Nazarene Youth who will restack a huge pile of firewood undercover this Saturday.
  • Praise God for the Nampa Christian School children who are doing a drive for our pantry with their parents.
  • Praise God for the new church visit this week. May they decide to partner with us if appropriate.
  • The church of the week is Real Life Community Church and Pastor Dana Hicks. Pray for their long-term goal of acquiring a church building.

Requests:

  • Pray for a Defining Difference Training for 2 churches on Saturday Nov. 19th.
  • Pray for a church wanting to go deeper with the Defining Difference training for more of their leadership.
  • Pray for 2 pastoral advisory luncheons this Tuesday and Thursday. May there be a bonding of our spirits.
  • Pray we can interest some new pastors in a luncheon and introductory presentation in early December.

Finances

Praises!

  • Thanking God for each financial donation and for God's wonderful provision!
  • Thanking God for the way we can convert product donations into revenue to grow more ministry.

Requests:

  • Pray we end the year strong!
  • We are exploring how to increase Selah book sales for the holidays and also how to create an e-book.
  • May the Lord bless both efforts.
  • Continued end-of-year donations as we enter into the holiday season.

Gap Ministries

Praises!

  • Praise God we are giving out lots of coats to keep people in need warm.
  • Praise God we had a great meeting with volunteers at our Junior Closet.

Requests:

  • Pray for donated bikes to work on.
  • Pray for more furniture donations.
  • Pray for men for our furniture teams.
  • Pray for volunteers for the Thursday Junior Closet.
  • Pray for donated pots and pans for Heaven's Household Closet.
  • Pray for wisdom as we consider opening a casual clothing closet.
  • Pray for a volunteer for the Wednesday Children's Clothing Closet
  • Pray for our firewood team as they start to deliver wood this season.
